Dr. Christopher Griffin

Dr. Christopher Griffin is a Greenwood dentist who makes his patients his top priority. His experience and background can help you learn a little more about him and his practice.

Dr. Christopher Griffin, a native of Abbeville, South Carolina, graduated in 1989 from the College of Charleston and four years later, the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dentistry in Charleston, South Carolina. In Columbia, South Carolina, he completed a hospital-based general practice residency at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, formerly known as Richland Memorial Hospital. Returning closer to home, Dr. Griffin acquired the practice of retiring dentist Dr. Petit and has continued practicing for the last 23 years in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Dr. Christopher Griffin is involved in many leadership roles with local, state, and national dental organizations including the Pierre Fauchard Academy, Academy of General Dentistry, South Carolina Dental Association, and the Academy of Operative Dentistry. He also participates with many charitable endeavors which include Healthy Learners, the Greater Greenwood United Ministries, United Christian Ministries of Abbeville County (UCMAC) and the South Carolina Dental Association Dental Access Days.

In the year 2015, Dr. Christopher T. Griffin, DMD served as the President Elect of the South Carolina Dental Association. He also filled the role of Alternate Delegate to the ADA House of Delegates for South Carolina, and the Delegation Chair for the SCDA, and is the current President for this organization. Dr. Christopher T. Griffin, DMD is also part of the Fellowship Exam Team for the Academy of General Dentistry. This team works together to develop questions and validate sources for examinations, creating study guides, and grading the examination. Those who want to pass the examination will do so in addition to 500 qualifying hours of continuing education and a 5 year membership in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Christopher Griffin has been married to his wife, Kim McCurry Griffin, for over 20 years and has two boys named Taylor and Tucker. He is passionate about cycling, fishing, skiing, and hunting.

Dr. Christopher Griffin takes his patients and practice very seriously and continues to make learning a priority. He has attained Fellow Status in the academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentist, Pierre Fauchard Academy and Associate Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Since completion of dental school, he has participated in more than 1500 hours of quality continuing education to advance his knowledge and further hone his diagnostic and clinical skills. His practice offers low volume client care at the highest levels and his talented staff has a combined dental experience of almost 30 years.

Teresa Williams

Teresa Williams came to the team in 1997 as Dr. Griffin’s Dental Hygienist and has been his indispensable right hand for many years. She is a bright smiling face that welcomes you and puts your anxieties of the dentist chair at ease. She has a gentle touch and exemplary skills in dental hygiene.

Samantha Baldwin

Samantha joined Dr. Griffin’s office in October 2022 as a dental assistant. She lives in Ware Shoals, SC and has a sweet smile and warm personality that will make you comfortable during your dental procedure. Samantha can answer any questions you have about your treatment and will make sure you are well informed of any aftercare needed.

Amber Christian

Amber joined Dr. Griffin’s office in October 2022. She is a resident of Greenwood, SC and is the smiling face that welcomes you as you arrive. Amber has a sunny personality and has been in the dental field several years. She will guide you through your insurance paperwork and will assist you with any questions or concerns regarding financial and treatment issues.

Falyn Dowell

Falyn joined Dr. Griffin’s office in August 2023 as a dental assistant. She lives in Greenwood, SC and has a bubbly personality and great bedside manner to make you feel right at home during your dental procedures. Falyn is very informative and will ensure the best dental care for you during your treatment.
